THIS COULD HAVE BEEN ANY OF US!!! WHY THIS FATHER TO BE?
Pray for Jason Rivenburg's wife Hope, his son Joshua, and the unborn twins who will never see there father in this life. Donate if you can. Then sign this Petition (link below) in his memory. And call all your lawmakers. Please! For all our sake. Tell them to sponser "Jason's law" both state and federal. Don't let this father, son, husband, and brother trucker's death mean nothing! His life was worth a hole lot more then the $7 these animals took. I thank God they were cought and I hope they get what's comming to them. I did not know Jason nor any of his family personaly but no life is worth only $7. Click the link below to sign.
Thank you and be safe on the road............... The Chihuahua.

The purpose of Jason's Law is to provide secure areas for truck drivers to rest or to wait until they can unload their trucks.

On Thursday March 5, 2009, Jason Rivenburg pulled his truck into a gas station that has been used frequently and considered to be some what safe. Jason was only twelve miles from his destination but could not make delivery because it was too early.  His delivery never took place.  Jason was shot and killed as he rested in his truck.  Jason leaves behind a son that will be two in April and a wife that will deliver twins shortly.

Jason's family and friends are asking for your help to bring attention to the dangers our nation's truck drivers face to our legislators.  Perhaps if truck stops were required to provide adequate lighting, cameras and if delivery sites provided secure waiting areas crimes of this nature could be prevented.

Please join our effort to make "Jason's Law" a reality by visiting

Petition Drive Seeks Safe Parking for Truckers The family of slain trucker Jason Rivenburg hopes others will join them in petitioning state lawmakers and members of Congress to assure that there is adequate safe parking for truckers.
Rivenburg was shot to death on March 5th as he was parked at an abandoned gas station off I-26 south of Columbia, South Carolina.
