A Letter opperations

Dear Sirs:
This letter is about order no. ------. And how
it became late.
At approx 2200 local dispatch really asked me
to cover a Fresh Produce load going to Texas for
a mid day delivery today. I told him I don’t
think I can do that because I was still not
settled into my truck yet and my truck has still
not gone into the shop. They did not take me off
the load at that time. Nevertheless, later on
Dispatcher Bob came out and asked me again if I
could do it. I told him I don’t think I can I
have been up all day moving and talking to
dispatch, recruiting, ECT. Besides the truck had
still not been in the shop. So he went back in.
and came out at around 0200 and told me he took
me off that load he said he had a team bring in
another Fresh Produce load that the 1st stop
delivered here, in Jackson at 0500 then 2nd stop
delivered at 0700 less than a block away. Then
last stop 45mi away (late) at 1200.
I asked him about the shop. He said, “You can
come back after you deliver”. Then I asked, “When
am I supposed to sleep”? He said, “At 2nd stop
you can get a couple of hours sleep”. So I took
the load. Thinking, I could test drive the truck.
I got the trip info at 0400. So I had to hustle
to find where for the 1st stop was, get logs
current, hook to and pretrip the trailer, ECT.
All the while dispatchers running out every 5 min
telling me the load is going to be late “GO! GO!
GO! I only had 45 minutes for all that because I
had to drive across Jackson to get there.
Nevertheless I got to the 1st and 2nd stops right
on time.
I told the 2nd stop my C.B. is not working. That
they can’t get me on it. Bill at the 2nd stop
said,” go on out and take a nap we will wake you
when were done”. I said,”ok sounds good”.
From here on most is on the qualcomm:
The 2nd stop woke me up at 1128. At 1130 I sent
they are done and last stop will be late. At 1141
Dispatcher Chris asked for my ETA to final
and “they said been done here 4 2hrs now” and I
replyed at 1200 after paying the lumper, that is
what bill said too I asked why he did not wake me
b4 then he said he called on the C.B. and I told
him that it did not work when I checked in. he
said, “I know I forgot”. At 1207 CR sent me a
msg “what is the prob. Magee is waiting on load”.
At 1216 CR sent a msg “cs (customer service) said
it’s not cust job 2 wake you up u need 2 get a
alarm clock if you need to sleep all the time.
This will b a charged last load against you per
cs.” I closed and sealed the doors and prepared
to leave and at 1225 I sent, “I do something for
night dispatch (doing this short run with no
sleep) and this is what I get. See if I do it
again. BOB all but begged me to take this load
for him even though my truck had not been in the
shop yet. And I took it. No more!” What do I
need to do to get this taken care of?
